Well another successful Deutsch Connection show has been and gone this weekend, this was the first show for my 84′ Mercedes 500sec and Grand Nostalgic Members or should I say member. Unfortunately the other guys were unable to make it down but nevertheless I joined up with the people from DubClub to head down to the show.
On the way down I was battling the economy gauge as I could literally see the petrol gauge dropping fast. Spent almost £60 to do a 100mile round trip, I think that works out to about 10.5mpg. With these mpg figures in comparison my Corrado VR6 could be classed as a hybrid.
Anyway, made it down to find a few cars that really stood out for me…
such as this Mercedes W111 coupe which is one of those cars which I did not expect to see
This E21 BMW on BBS RM’s…
and a couple of retro VW’s – A rare MK1 Jetta Coupe and Golf Rallye
some nice car models attended too!
With it being the first show for Grand Nostalgic and me being the only member able to make it down meant that it was a one car stand…
Well until a bit later when Pav from DubClub turned up with his ’89 Mercedes 2.6 190E
Overall a successful show, although it didn’t seem as busy as the previous two years. Maybe due to the possible forecast of rain, it stayed overcast for most of the show but luckily it didn’t rain!
